Library Policies
OUR LIBRARY COLLECTION
The CMS LLC has a wide range of materials covering a variety of subjects, interests, and reading levels to support and enrich the curriculum.
Recognizing the fact that our library contains materials from picture books through YA books, we encourage parents and guardians to discuss their children's reading selections with them.
CIRCULATION
STUDENTS
-Students may check-out up to 3 items at a time
-Materials are due back 2 weeks from the check-out date
-Materials may be renewed for an additional 2 weeks if the item has not been placed on hold by another student/faculty member
FACULTY & STAFF
-Faculty & staff may check-out an unlimited amount of items
-Materials are due back at then end of each trimester
LOST ITEMS
-Materials are due back at then end of each trimester
While there are no fines for overdue books, if a book is lost or damaged it must be paid for in full. The CMS LLC offers three opportunities to do so:
1. Food for Fines: If a book is lost or damaged we ask that non-perishable, non-expired food items be donated to the CMS Library to help stock the Colchester Food Shelf
2. By check: Items may be paid for by check made out to CMS
3. If the student is unable to donate item(s) to the Food for Fines program/pay via check, they may opt to volunteer in the library
